MiMiKIDS

MILLENNIUM MINDS, INC. is a 501c3 non-profit edu-creational cultural arts & trade development youth organization established in 1997 in Southeast Queens, New York. We service youth 6-18 years of age. Our children and young adults are diverse and gifted with talents unimaginable. We have also opened our hearts to youth in the temporary Foster/Adoption, Homeless system to offer them HOPE, FAITH, & the WILL to press forward. Our goal is to provide a stable, consistent, environment that provides hands on skills and training programs that can be further utilized should they age out. We offer the opportunity to prepare resume's, learn business etiquette, and build credibility. We are there to soothe, counsel, and nurture our youth so they can have a full, well balanced growing future.

We introduce art programs which include piano, drum, guitar, dance, painting, fashion designers, filmmaking (videography), music recording studio, culinary arts, glass making, and drama. We also encourage health and fitness which include golf lessons, billiards lessons, basketball, and weight training. Our technical area focuses on computer literacy for children and adults. Our cultural and educational traveling spans out to the Philharmonic Hall, Carnegie Hall, Jazz Orchestra, On/Off Broadway Shows, Concerts, Radio City Music Hall, Museums, Kid Operas, Black Tie affairs and festivals to name a few.

We have introduced youth to Bandleaders, Composers, Music Writers, and Producers. Our purpose for wanting to expose them to this atmosphere is to INSPIRE them. Music has a large effect on our generation of young people today. In addition, to help them understand that it is possible for them with hard work and perseverance with a good education, attitude, and solid foundation. This program is a bite size contribution amongst many others, giving them a since of responsibility, nurturing, and caring for themselves, family, and community.

Our children deserve to see, touch, feel what they feel may be an impossible dream. They have been through enough and do not need to be defined by their community, rather to know there is life outside their community and they CAN make a difference. Although, our youth live in an urban community and come from sacrificial backgrounds doesn't mean they should be loved, or respected any less. Many of these children have a low socio-economic status and cannot afford what should be unbiased opportunity. Together, working parents, social workers, teachers, community leaders, collaborating with other programs, you and I can help these young Millennium Minds spread their wings and broaden their horizons.

Millennium Minds, Inc. is their to help parents with low-income, single-parents, grand-parents who are re-parenting, extended families, and working class parents who cannot find the time to expose opportunity and resources to their children. We are there to provide comfort, relaxation, peace of mind, control and a safe haven for both the child and the prospective guardian. Cultivating and feeding positive thoughts in our young Millennium Minds of TODAY will better strengthen our leaders and world of tomorrow.

Peace & Blessings,
